At the end of October 2025, ABC Walls & Development through Change hosted the inaugural inclusive climbing conference. Aim2Change was imagined and created by a steering group of disabled people, and aimed to shine a light on inclusive climbing.
The programme was packed full of workshops and talks from experts across the sector. There were numerous panel discussions and talks across the day covering topics such as building community, running inclusive comps, inclusive marketing and creating intersectional spaces. Alongside these, Mile End Climbing Wall hosted interactive workshops exploring Neurodivergent awareness , Deaf inclusion, Rope skills for coaching wheelchair users and coaching Blind & VI climbers. The formidable Anoushe Hussain concluded the day with a fantastic Keynote Speech.

The event made a lasting impression on us at Access to Climb. We felt so uplifted and encouraged by being in a room with so many other people who are passionate and fired up about inclusive climbing. The room was buzzing from start to finish, with people from across the paraclimbing community connecting and imagining change. The discussions did not shy away from the obstacles and challenges facing paraclimbing, but it left us feeling excited for the future.
We express our profound appreciation to ABC Walls and Development through Change for creating and hosting the day, and we hope it will be the first of many to come.
